The update of the web site with photographs and commentary for 2024 has been started.
2024 was a very unusual year almost everywhere. In France the "season" was some two to three weeks later than normal, even at high altitude. In lowland regions of southern France, two years of high temperatures and exceptionally low rainfall were followed in 2024 by an exceptionally wet spring, the heavy rainfall continuing into the autumn. It remains to be see what impact this has on 2025 and to what extent can species recover from the disastrously low numbers recorded in 2024.
